The timber framed structure was bolted together and given precedence in the visual appearance of the home. Modern comforts include in-floor hydronic heating, acid-etched concrete floors, and an on-demand hot water system, as well as an installed in-ground cistern to capture rainwater. The distinctive, large skylight runs along the ridgeline of the roof, allowing natural light to stream in over the central staircase.
